Did you know we can restore your teeth in a single day?

Tuesday, January 9th, 2018

If you need a new crown or you’re having trouble with a tooth you think may be broken, you may assume that it takes weeks to find a solution. In some cases, repairing a tooth can take a couple of weeks, but at Liverpool Dental Spa, we can offer same-day treatment. If you need results in a hurry, you’ve come to the right place!

Same-day tooth restoration at Liverpool Dental Spa

We understand that time is of the essence for our clients and we are delighted to offer same-day tooth restoration. We use an innovative form of technology known as Cerec to bring about incredible results in a single day. Cerec enables us to design, fabricate and fit new crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers in just one session.

Traditionally, when you need a new crown, for example, your dentist will create a putty mould which is sent away to the laboratory. A dental technician will craft the crown and then send it back to the dentist and they will then arrange an appointment to fit the new crown. With Cerec, we can take control of every stage of the process on-site, so there’s no need to send anything away or wait around for the new restoration.

Cerec uses images captured by a camera to create detailed impressions, which are used to form the template for your new restoration. These images are sent to the on-site milling machine, which takes control of the fabrication process. Within minutes, your restoration will be ready, and your dentist can place it immediately.

The benefits of Cerec

Cerec offers an array of benefits for dentists and patients, including:

  • Speedy treatment times
  • No mess and no putty impressions involved
  • No need for multiple appointments
  • Improved accuracy

If you’re keen to find out more about sensational Cerec, call us today and book an appointment!

Reshaping your Smile With Gum Contouring Treatments

Friday, December 8th, 2017

Have you got a gummy smile? Are you conscious about posing for the camera or do you feel like your smile is unattractive? A gummy smile isn’t a dental emergency or anything to worry about in terms of oral health, but it can affect your confidence. With a gummy smile, the teeth tend to look short and small and this can affect the balance and symmetry of the smile. If you wish you had a more attractive smile, we can help! Using advanced gum contouring techniques, we can alter the shape of the gums to give you a beautiful, balanced smile.

What is gum contouring?

Gum contouring is a technique we use to alter the shape of the gums and remove excess tissue from the gum line. With a gummy smile, the gum tissue covers more of the tooth than usual, and this means that the teeth look small. Contouring provides a solution by trimming the gums and reshaping them to unveil more of the tooth structure. This means that the teeth look slightly larger and longer and creates a much more balanced aesthetic.

We use modern techniques to achieve incredible results with minimal discomfort and we can transform your smile in a single session.

If you’re concerned about the appearance of your gummy smile or you dream of feeling more confident when your smile is in the spotlight, why not call us and find out more about gum contouring at Liverpool Dental Spa? We can arrange an informal consultation, have a look at your smile and go through the procedure with you. We’ll be more than happy to answer questions and we can give you an idea of the difference this type of treatment can make.

How Liverpool Dental Spa can sculpt your teeth the way you like

Friday, October 20th, 2017

Do you feel self-conscious about the appearance of your smile? Do you have teeth that you feel are uneven or misshapen? If so, we may have the perfect solution for you. With our modern contouring treatments, we can sculpt a beautiful smile for you.

What is tooth contouring?

Tooth contouring is a technique we use to reshape the teeth to create a more attractive appearance and give you more confidence when you smile. Using advanced methods, we can resize the teeth, making them look smaller or shorter or even out worn or jagged edges. We can also adjust the shape of the tooth to create better symmetry.

Before you have treatment, we will organise an informal consultation, which will give us an opportunity to have a look at your teeth and discuss the areas you want to address. We’ll go through some ideas with you, talk about the process and of course, answer any questions you may have.

An introduction to cosmetic bonding

If you have misshapen teeth, you have uneven edges or your teeth are chipped or worn, we may recommend a treatment called cosmetic bonding. This is a single-session treatment, which takes just an hour to transform your smile. There’s no pain involved so you won’t need any injections, and the results are visible immediately. To carry out this treatment, your dentist will use a tooth-coloured material called dental composite to reshape your teeth. Composite can be used to enlarge the tooth or build up a worn or uneven edge. It can also be used to reduce the size of gaps between the teeth. Once your dentist has positioned the composite, they will shine a curing light on your teeth to set the material.

If you’re not happy with the look of your smile, we are confident that we can find an incredible solution. Call now and book an appointment or get in touch with us online!

Four Ways We Can Give You a Brighter Smile This Autumn

Friday, September 15th, 2017

Autumn is synonymous with dark afternoons and grey skies, so what better time of year to brighten things up with a gorgeous, radiant smile? We have many treatments available to give your teeth a healthy glow, including:

  1. Tooth whitening: tooth whitening treatment is incredibly popular and it can make such a positive difference to the look of your smile without any pain or hassle. We have a selection of in-chair and at-home treatments to choose from. Our treatments use tried and tested whitening agents to lighten the shade of the enamel, giving you a glimmering new smile.
  2. Cleaning treatments: it’s brilliant to brush your teeth at home, but sometimes, you need a little extra oomph in your cleaning regime. Seeing our dental hygienists for a professional clean can remove surface stains and restore your smile’s natural whiteness.
  3. Dental bonding: if you have chipped or uneven teeth, they can become discoloured more easily. Dental bonding is a versatile technique that we can use to improve the aesthetic appeal of your smile. We use a tooth-coloured material called dental composite to patch up the teeth. This is a painless procedure, which only takes an hour.
  4. Veneers: if you want that Hollywood glow, you may wish to consider veneers. Veneers are very fine shells, usually made from porcelain, which are applied to the surface of the teeth. Veneers can give you a flawless smile in just a couple of weeks, and they’re a brilliant solution for chips, worn edges, spaces between the teeth, staining and misshapen teeth.

If you need a little extra sparkle in your life now that the summer sun has faded, why not treat yourself to a brighter smile this autumn? Call us now or get in touch online to find out more about how we can help!

Five Ways to Protect Your New Smile This September

Monday, September 4th, 2017

If you’ve had dental treatment and you’ve got a stunning new smile, here are 5 steps you can take to protect your pearly whites this September:

  1. Book a dental check: regular dental checks are important for your dental health, but they can also help to ensure that your teeth look beautiful for years to come. If you haven’t been to see us for a while, what are you waiting for?
  2. Brush your teeth properly: most people know that they should brush their teeth twice a day, but sometimes, it can be tempting to do half a job, especially if you’re tired. Always make the effort to spend just 2 minutes cleaning your teeth and try and do a thorough job every time. Brushing your teeth isn’t just important for your dental health. It’s also beneficial for your overall health.
  3. Wear a mouth guard: if you’re playing sport, wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If there’s any risk of dental injury, it’s better to be safe than sorry. We recommend mouth guards for team sports such as rugby and hockey and fighting sports like boxing and wrestling.
  4. Use a straw: if you have bright white, beautiful teeth, using a straw can help to reduce the risk of discolouration, especially if you’re drinking strongly coloured drinks like cola.
  5. Clean between your teeth: when you brush, you can only cover the accessible surfaces of the teeth, so it’s also hugely beneficial to clean between your teeth with floss or inter-dental brushes.

Worn Out Teeth? How Liverpool Dental Spa Can Help You

Monday, July 31st, 2017

If you have worn or chipped teeth, we have various solutions that can help to restore your smile and strengthen your teeth.

Crowns and fillings

Crowns and fillings are used to strengthen teeth weakened by decay or injury. If the tooth is chipped, it may be possible to repair is using a filling. If the tooth is fractured, a crown may be required. Dental crowns are also known as caps as they are placed over the top of the tooth. Crowns can be made from ceramics, including porcelain, for a flawless aesthetic, and they can last at least five years if they are well cared-for.

Dental bonding

One technique we use to build up worn edges and improve the aesthetic of misshapen teeth is dental bonding. Bonding is a treatment, which involves using a material called dental composite to make minor changes to the appearance of the individual teeth. Your dentist will shape and mould the composite to reshape and repair the teeth and then set it using a curing light. This makes the composite hard. Your dentist will select the shade of dental composite that is closest to your natural tooth colour so you won’t be able to tell the difference between the composite and the rest of the tooth. Treatment only takes an hour, and there’s no pain involved.

If your teeth are worn and they need a little TLC, we can help! Call and book a consultation today!

What is Cosmetic Bonding and How Could it Give You a Personalised Perfect smile?

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017

Do you wish you had a perfect smile? Have you got chipped teeth or gaps between your teeth? If so, we can offer you an incredible treatment, which can transform your smile and give you a perfect, personalised set of pearly whites without any pain at all. Here’s everything you need to know about cosmetic bonding.

What is cosmetic bonding?

Cosmetic bonding is also known as composite or dental bonding. This is a cosmetic procedure, which also has restorative benefits, and we use it to reshape and repair chipped, damaged and worn teeth. We can also use bonding to reduce the size of gaps between the teeth, giving you an affordable, quick alternative to veneers and orthodontic treatment.

How does cosmetic bonding work?

Bonding is a straightforward treatment, which we can usually complete in less than an hour. You won’t feel any pain, and you’ll be amazed at the difference an hour in the dental chair can make to the appearance of your smile.

Cosmetic bonding requires a high level of skill on the part of the dentist, and you’ll be pleased to hear that our experienced dentists are experts when it comes to creating beautiful smiles. To achieve a flawless aesthetic, your dentist will use composite, a tooth-coloured material, to reshape the teeth, build up worn edges, fill in chips and reduce gaps between the teeth. Dental composite is putty-like in consistency and this enables your dentist to shape and mould it for a variety of uses. It also comes in a range of shades, so your dentist will choose the closest match to your natural tooth colour for seamless results.

Once your dentist is happy with the placement of the composite, they will ask you to pop some goggles on and they will shine a curing light onto the teeth. This sets the composite, making it firm.

If you’re looking for an affordable, quick, and pain-free way of getting a gorgeous smile for summer, call us today or get in touch via our website to find out more about dental bonding.

How Liverpool Dental Spa Can Sculpt the Shape of your Smile

Monday, April 10th, 2017

It’s very rare to have a naturally perfect smile. If you don’t like the shape of your teeth and gums, you don’t have to resign yourself to a lifetime of hiding your smile away. With innovative techniques like tooth reshaping and gum contouring, we can sculpt your teeth and gums and ensure you look and feel a million dollars every time you smile.

Tooth reshaping

Do you have a tooth that is longer than the others? Or do you feel like your smile looks unbalanced or uneven? If so, we can use tooth reshaping techniques to improve the shape of the individual teeth and adjust the size to create a beautiful, balanced smile. The procedure doesn’t take long, there’s minimal pain involved, and we have an experienced team on hand, so you can rest assured that you’re in the best hands.

Gum contouring

Do you have a gummy smile? Do you look in the mirror and think that your teeth look small and short? A gummy smile is not a medical problem. It doesn’t cause any physical pain and it won’t put your oral or general health at risk. However, it can affect your confidence and the way you feel when you smile. With a gummy smile, the gum tissue covers more of the tooth surface than normal, and this means that more gum tissue and less tooth tissue are visible when you smile. A gummy smile tends to make the teeth look short, and it affects the overall aesthetic of the smile.

Gum contouring is a technique we use to improve the look of the smile. It involves rimming away very tiny pieces of the gum tissue and reshaping the gums to unveil more of the tooth structure, making the teeth look longer and larger and giving you a beautiful new smile. The procedure is quick and we use the latest technology to minimise discomfort.

If you’re interested in our contouring or reshaping techniques, don’t hesitate to give us a call and find out more today!
