Veneers are a very popular cosmetic solution. In years gone by, veneers were associated with the A-list, but today, they’re accessible to everyone. We are delighted to offer an extensive array of veneer systems, and we are confident that we can find the perfect match for you. If you long for a flawless smile, we can make your dreams come true in just a few weeks.

What exactly are veneers?

Veneers are very fine tooth-shaped shells, which are applied to the surface of your natural teeth to create a brand new aesthetic. We can use veneers to address a host of different cosmetic imperfections, such as chipped teeth, gaps between the teeth, worn and uneven edges, staining and misshapen teeth. There are lots of different types of veneer available, including:

Lumineers: Lumineers are different to most other types of veneers because they are made from a patented ceramic material called Cerinate, rather than porcelain. This ultra-strong material allows for increased durability and longevity, yet the veneers are only as thick as contact lenses. With Lumineers, you can enjoy a stunning, natural looking smile, which should last several years. As Lumineers veneers are so thin, minimal tooth preparation is required.

Da Vinci veneers: if you’ve ever watched TV makeover shows and seen the glowing white smiles the participants show off, you’re probably familiar with Da Vinci veneers. These are the Hollywood stars of the veneer world and they are famed for their glitz and glamour. Da Vinci veneers are tried and tested, and they are highly resistant to chips and staining.

MAC veneers: MAC veneers are up to three times stronger than traditional porcelain veneers and they are coloured from within using an array of different hues, which creates a very natural aesthetic. MAC veneers last longer than other veneers because they are made from pressed ceramics. Each MAC veneer is custom-designed for the individual.

Monday, May 29th, 2017

Do you dream of a radiant smile that will light up the room? If you’re hoping for a sensational summer smile, Lumineers veneers could be just the ticket.

What are Lumineers and why are they so special?

Lumineers are lightweight veneers, which are made from a patented ceramic material known as Cerinate porcelain. Although Lumineers are incredibly thin and light, they are also very strong and they can usually last up to 20 years.

Veneers are a very versatile treatment and they really are capable of transforming the look of your smile. Even if you have worn, chipped or stained teeth, you can enjoy a stunning, natural looking new smile with Lumineers. Lumineers can also be used to hide gaps between the teeth and offer an alternative to braces if the teeth are slightly misaligned.

Lumineers are different to standard porcelain veneers because they are lighter, but they are also stronger. As Lumineers are so thin, minimal tooth preparation is required before the veneers are fitted, and this means that the tooth structure can be preserved. Lumineers also last longer than most other types of veneer.

How long does Lumineer treatment take?

We are usually able to complete Lumineer treatment in just 2 sessions which usually take place 2-3 weeks apart. During the first session, we’ll plan your treatment and create impressions of your teeth. We’ll also talk to you about the treatment in more detail, and of course, we’ll be happy to answer any questions. During the second session, we’ll fit your new veneers, secure them with strong dental adhesive, and show you your brand new smile.

Get A Dazzling Smile With Veneers In The City Of Liverpool

Friday, September 13th, 2013

If you are looking for veneers in Liverpool, let us introduce you to the amazing Lumineers veneers. Lumineers are made from patented materials and they are only available at selected practices in the UK.

What are Lumineers and what is so special about them?

Lumineers are very thin veneers, which are made from patented Cerinate material. Cerinate is a pressed form of porcelain, which produces amazingly natural aesthetics, as well as being extremely durable.

Lumineers are a very impressive veneer treatment; they have a beautiful glossy sheen and create truly amazing smiles and they should last for up to 20 years, making them a worthwhile investment.

Another advantage of Lumineers is that they are very thin, which means that minimal preparation is required and the tooth enamel can remain intact; in many cases, the teeth need to prepared and etched before veneers are placed to make room for the new veneer and this can damage to tooth structure. Lumineers are around the same thickness as contact lenses and they can be placed over the top of the natural teeth without causing any interference at all. Treatment only requires two sessions; the first session is to make the impressions for the new veneers and the second visit is to place the veneers; then you are free to show off your amazing new smile!

Could I benefit from veneer treatment?

Veneers are a very popular treatment because they can transform any smile. if you are unhappy with your smile, you wish you had a bright, healthy looking smile or you hate looking in the mirror and being confronted with rows of chipped and worn teeth, veneers could be an ideal treatment for you. Lumineers can be used to address problems such as discolouration and staining, chipped and broken teeth, worn teeth and spaces between the teeth and they may also be an option for patients who have very minor problems with the alignment of their teeth who don’t want to have orthodontic treatment.

Cover Those Imperfections With High Quality Veneers For Patients In Liverpool

Thursday, October 4th, 2012

Alas, everything from a major accident to drinking tea can negatively impact on your teeth and, unless you have been eating tofu in a bubble since birth, chances are some cosmetic blemishes will have reared their niggling little features on those otherwise pristine and pearly whites. Dental veneers are wafer thin shells of tooth-like material which can be affixed to your teeth, thus covering up anything undesired and providing the appearance of perfect teeth. Veneers can help cover gaps, hide stains, and seemingly repair damage teeth and, although not ideal, can even aid with marginally crooked teeth in a process nicknamed ‘instant orthodontics’. There are different types of veneer and the debate tends to be between ‘porcelain or composite’ veneers – which is better? At Liverpool Dental Spa we prefer ‘Lumineers’ – the veneer equivalent of dynamite in a game of rock-paper-scissors.

What are Lumineers?

Lumineers are a special type of Veneer made from very thin, but very strong, material.

The advantages of Lumineers

Standard veneers are often called ‘false nails for the teeth,’ in part on account of their thickness. In contrast, Lumineers are called ‘contact lenses for the teeth’ on account of how thin they are. Why exactly is this of any advantage? Standard Veneers require a portion of your front teeth to be removed in order to accommodate them, thus making the process irreversible. Lumineers, in contrast, require little to no teeth preparation, meaning the process can often be reversed.   Composite veneers also tend to have a lifespan of two years at best, whilst Porcelain Veneers typically last for between five and ten years. Lumineers, in contrast, can last for up to twenty years. Lumineers cost more than other veneers, but their durability can make them more cost-effective in the long run. Lumineers are also very versatile and should be able to fit over any other dental work you have had done without any problem.

Do all dentists offer this treatment?

No, but we at Liverpool Dental Spa do. If this specialist treatment sounds right for you, then why not call us for a consultation?

Lumineers the Long-Lasting Tooth Veneer for Patients in Liverpool

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

There are numerous brands of veneers available from cosmetic dental practices, but there are only a select few that offer both an outstanding transformation and long-lasting results.

What is different about Lumineers?

Lumineers are incredibly thin veneers, often referred to as the ‘contact lenses’ of the veneer world. However, these veneers are not only small they are incredibly strong, using the finest materials and the most advanced techniques to create a restoration that looks exactly like a natural tooth that can last 20 years or more.

Lumineers also require very little in the way of tooth restoration, meaning the natural tooth structure underneath will be maintained. Usually when fitting a veneer a large portion of the tooth must be shaved away, which can create a difficult situation if you want to remove your veneers or change them. With Lumineers this isn’t a problem and the treatment is completely reversible.

What can Lumineers treat?

Lumineers are an almost instant treatment for a number of cosmetic problems including:

  • Gaps between teeth
  • Stained teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Crooked teeth

How are Lumineers fitted?

Lumineers only require two visits:

1)   You are examined by a dentist who will tell you if you are suitable for Lumineers. You will then have impressions taken of your teeth and will decide your ideal tooth shade. This information will then be sent to the specialist dental lab, who will create you new teeth.

2)   Your Lumineers are created and you return to the practice and have your Lumineers fitted.

Lumineers are only available from a small number of UK practices who are registered with the Cerinate Smile Design Studio. Liverpool Implant and Aesthetic Dental Spa are one such UK practice, able to provide this service for all their patients who are suitable for Lumineers.
