Change the way you think of invisible braces with MTM No Trace Braces

Thursday, August 3rd, 2017

If you’re interested in invisible braces, you may have done some research and come across clear removable braces, but have you ever heard of lingual braces? If you’re after the ultimate in invisible orthodontics, allow us to introduce you to MTM No Trace Braces. This lingual brace system can give you the smile of your dreams without anyone knowing you’ve got a brace.

What are MTM No Trace Braces?

MTM No Trace Braces are lingual braces, which offer you the opportunity to undergo treatment in secret. Many people are reticent to have orthodontic treatment because they don’t to worry about waring cumbersome, highly visible braces. These braces aren’t your average braces. Instead of being attached to the front of the teeth, these braces are fixed to the back of the teeth, so you can smile to your heart’s content without anyone being able to spot your brace.

You may assume that lingual braces would be panful because of the proximity of the brackets to the tongue. However, these braces are much sleeker and smaller than traditional fixed braces and they also use the latest friction-free technology, so you don’t have to worry about pain.

Who is a suitable candidate for MTM No Trace Braces?

MTM No Trace Braces are ideally designed for patients who don’t need a lot of movement and this treatment is best suited to those with minor orthodontic issues. They work incredibly quickly, which makes them an excellent option for people who want results fast, for example, those preparing for a special occasion like a wedding. The average treatment time is just 12-24 weeks.

If you’d like to see if you’re a good match for MTM No Trace Braces, why not give us a rig today or get in touch online and book a consultation. Your dream smile could be just weeks away!

Which Invisible Brace is Right For You?

Monday, May 22nd, 2017

Are you interested in braces? Are you looking for something discreet that will enable you to undergo treatment in secret? If so, here is a guide to our incredible invisible braces:

Removable braces

We are proud to offer an extensive selection of clear removable braces that includes Invisalign, ClearStep and Perfect Clear. These systems all utilise transparent aligners, which look very similar to mouth guards, to straighten the teeth. When the aligners are in position, they are virtually undetectable. Removable braces are usually recommended for patients with minor or moderate needs, as they cannot generate as much movement as fixed braces. The beauty of removable braces is that they enable you to get on with life as normal. You don’t have to worry about eating in public or trying to keep your teeth clean, as you can take your braces out when you eat and brush your teeth.

Fixed braces

You may assume that it’s impossible to get a discreet fixed brace, but you’d be wrong! With treatments like CFast and Six Month Smiles, we can straighten your teeth discreetly. Fixed braces may be advantageous for some patients because they provide more support than removable braces. Both these treatments have an average treatment time of just 6 months.

Lingual braces

Lingual braces are fixed braces, but there’s a major difference between lingual braces and conventional braces: lingual braces are attached to the back of the teeth, making them invisible to others. We offer MTM No Trace braces, which sit behind the teeth, enabling you to have treatment without anybody knowing. MTM No Trace braces produce results in just 12-24 weeks.

If you like the sound of invisible orthodontic treatment, call us and book a consultation today. We can discuss your options, and help you choose which treatment is best for you.

If you’re searching for a treatment that can give you a perfect, straight smile without any hassle at all, look no further than Perfect Clear. This clear brace system uses bespoke K positioners to correct misalignment with maximum discretion.

About Perfect Clear

Perfect Clear is a clear brace treatment, which uses a series of custom-designed removable aligners called K positioners to gently guide the teeth into position. Each K positioner is unique, and the braces work in a set order. These lightweight aligners are not just virtually invisible. They’re also comfortable and they’re removable, so treatment fits in with your normal lifestyle. You can eat and brush your teeth as normal, and you don’t have to feel anxious about getting food stuck in your brace.

Perfect Clear is ideally suited to patients who have minor misalignment. The range of movement is limited, so it’s not the best choice for those who need extensive correction.

The Benefits of Perfect Clear

Perfect Clear braces are light, convenient and most importantly, very discreet. Many patients are reluctant to have treatment because they don’t want to be lumbered with unattractive braces for months on end. With this system, image doesn’t have to be a concern, as nobody will even be able to tell that you’re wearing braces. With Perfect Clear, you can enjoy a stunning smile and improved confidence with minimal hassle.

Why is Invisalign so Amazing?

Saturday, May 16th, 2015

Years ago, invisible orthodontic treatment would have seemed an impossible dream, but with Invisalign, this amazing feat is now a reality. If you dream of a straight smile, but you can’t handle the thought of wearing highly visible braces, Invisalign could be just up your street.

What’s so good about Invisalign?

If you’ve heard dentists, colleagues or friends waxing lyrical about Invisalign, you may be wondering what all the fuss is about. Here is a simple guide to why Invisalign is so beneficial for modern orthodontic patients:

  • Invisible aesthetics: Invisalign aligners are made from transparent high grade plastic, making them barely noticeable when you smile.
  • Ease and convenience: Invisalign aligners are removable, so you don’t have to make huge changes to the way you do things when you start treatment. You can eat and brush your teeth as normal and it’s very easy to keep your aligners clean.
  • Comfort: Invisalign aligners are light and they are custom-made to fit your teeth and encourage tooth movement. There are no metal bands and no painful adjustments.
  • Better oral hygiene: with Invisalign, you an remove your braces quickly and easily when you want to clean your teeth and brush as normal. This reduces the risk of oral health issues such as decay and gum disease and helps to prevent staining.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign uses forces to move the teeth like other braces. However, it uses a different kind of approach. Rather than using a brace made of brackets and wires to apply pressure to the teeth, Invisalign employs a set of removable aligners to guide the teeth into position over time. Each aligner is different and the number you receive will depend on the complexity of your individual prescription and how much movement is required to straighten and align the teeth. The aligners are worn for two week periods and they are ordered according to the personalised treatment plan.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Every patient is different and it’s impossible to put a blanket time on Invisalign treatment. However, typically, cases take between 12 and 18 months to complete.

We Offer The Ultimate In Invisible Braces Treatment In The Very Heart Of Liverpool

Thursday, February 13th, 2014

Even the Benedict Cumberbatch incarnation of Baker Street super sleuth Sherlock Holmes might take a little while to trace these braces. For some, braces are embarrassing. Regardless of the reasoning behind this, the MTM No Trace brace system allows people who feel this way to hide their orthodontic woes from snooping acquaintances.

So.. what is this ‘MTM No Trace brace’ then?

Well, it is a nigh on invisible, fixed brace mostly used to treat minor problems with one’s bite. The brace operates, and comes with the advantages of, a fixed brace system, but, unlike fixed braces, it is difficult to see. Why? The brace is fitted on the inside of the mouth!

Plus points of the No Trace brace

Well, the cosmetic benefits are, ironically, the most recognisable feature of this discreet brace system: By hiding itself from view, you avoid all those aforementioned embarrassing associations. By being fixed, it also avoids the biggest problem faced by removable brace users: human error. Removable aligners can be taken out for brief periods, often for cleaning, but forgetting to put them back on can have a major effect on treatment: Forgetting to wear your aligner can prevent the next one in a series from fitting, delaying your treatment and increasing the costs involved. The MTM No Trace, however, is fixed and, subsequently, you have naught to fret over. You won’t even have to refrain from fretting for long! The No Trace system is quick and can conjure up a perfectly straight smile in as little as twelve weeks.

Is this treatment suitable for all?

Sadly not: The MTM No Trace system is intended for patients suffering from minor orthodontic issues and, whilst ideal for performing small dental movements, isn’t appropriate for more extensive treatment. Do not fret though my fearful friend, for, even if this option isn’t quite right for you,  at Liverpool Dental Spa we have plenty of treatments to offer as alternatives. If you only need a little adjustment to your bite, however, then the No Trace brace might just do the trick!

Get Straight, Beautiful Teeth Discreetly In The Heart Of Liverpool

Monday, September 23rd, 2013

Understandably, many people who are thinking about having orthodontic treatment are looking for a discreet treatment option. Gone are the days when patients had no choice but to wear bulky metal braces; modern treatments are quicker, more comfortable and much more discreet. At Liverpool Implant and Aesthetic Spa we know how important it is to look good and feel confident and we have a range of clear brace options, including Perfect Clear.

About Perfect Clear

Perfect Clear is an invisible brace treatment, which moves the teeth without anyone even being able to see the brace. The removable brace is made from light transparent plastic and the appliance sits over the teeth in a similar way to a gum shield. Rather than relying on brackets and wires to move the teeth, Perfect Clear uses custom-made K positioners to guide the teeth into position; the positioners are removable, light and comfortable and they are also easy to clean and maintain.

Am I a suitable candidate?

If you have minor or moderate orthodontic issues and you would prefer a removable brace or an invisible brace, this is an ideal choice. Perfect Clear has a host of benefits for patients of all ages and is a perfect option for patients who want a great looking smile without having to worry about how they will look when they start wearing their brace. Your dentist will be able to confirm whether or not you are a suitable candidate for treatment during your consultation.

Why should I choose Perfect Clear?

Perfect Clear has many benefits; the aligners are clear, which means that your smile will not e affected during the treatment process and you can smile and meet new people with confidence without being worried about what other people think about your braces. The positioners are also removable, which means that you can eat very easily and brush your teeth without the hardship of navigating your brush around brackets and wires. The treatment process is simple and convenient and the results are very impressive.

Removable braces for patients in Liverpool

Thursday, May 23rd, 2013

At Liverpool Dental Spa we offer three types of removable brace, all of which are practically invisible, these are: Invisalign, Perfect Clear and Clearstep. The precise differences between these three systems are quite subtle, but they all share the same basic advantages.

Practical advantages of the treatments

One of the major problems with fixed braces is that they are fixed. Being unable to remove your brace makes cleaning difficult, thus allowing food particles to build up in hard to reach areas of your mouth. Your mouth is full of bacteria, and food particles left there will combine with said bacteria to produce plaque. If plaque is left untreated, it will begin to use sugary and starchy food particles to produce acid. This acid will then erode your teeth. The easiest way to prevent this is to stop plaque from forming, but this can be a little tricky if you can’t reach all of your mouth. Removable braces mean that you can simply take the obstacle out before a thorough clean! Eating certain foods can also be a problem with fixed braces, as certain foods can either break or get stuck in your brace. Again, by being able to remove your brace this problem is overcome.

Practically invisible

The major aesthetic complaint pertaining to fixed braces is their appearance. Somehow, and for some unknown reason, a little wire and elastic seems to conjure up images of adolescent awkwardness, something which many would prefer to avoid. Thankfully the braces available at Liverpool Dental Spa are all made of clear plastic, making them virtually invisible! Plus, if you are worried that some eagle eyed individual will be inspecting your pearly whites, you can sneakily take them off for a brief period!

I can’t even feel them!

Wednesday, November 14th, 2012

Hi everyone, it’s Anna and I wanted to share with you how I’m doing on my third week of treatment. Some days I even forget they’re in there as they’re feeling really comfortable now. If you look at my picture you can ‘see’ just how invisible my aligners are! I love them!

I started on my second set of Invisalign trays on Tuesday, making sure to put them on the night before and take two paracetamol before I went to bed. This is a technique which the dental nurse at the Liverpool Dental Spa advised me to do as she herself has been through Invisalign treatment and told me that the initial first couple of days are the worst when it comes to putting on a new tray as they feel very tight.

All of the dental team have been very helpful and as some of them have undergone the same treatments which they offer to patients, it means they can provide recommendations based on personal experience.

Progress with the second set of trays

I’ve now had the second set of Invisalign trays on for around 3 days and I can say they are no longer feeling so tight, which again, can only be a good sign. The good news is that the second set – even in the initial first few days, were nowhere near as tight as the first set. They are easy to take on and off and wearing them for 22 hours a day no longer feels so daunting.

Admittedly, it can be hard to make sure to put it back on straight away after eating and I’m finding that I’m eating and drinking everything I want during this time, so I can avoid having to remove the aligners later on, only to have to brush my teeth.

This has meant that my snacking time has been greatly reduced, though I will admit on Valentine’s Day I did take them off for a bit longer than I was supposed to – (the chocolates were just too tempting!)

Drinking with aligners on

I also learnt last weekend not to drink anything but water with the aligners on. I went to the pub on Friday night and drank lemonade through a straw with my aligners in, which I thought would be ok, as I was reluctant to drink alcohol, in case of staining.

However after a few minutes I could feel the sugar from the lemonade under my aligners and my teeth just didn’t feel all that clean after that! I therefore think it might be safer to take them out if you’re planning on drinking on a night out. I know this can seem like a lot of wasted treatment time, but I think so long as you brush your teeth and put them back on before bed, you should be ok. However this might mean extending your treatment time of each tray by a day or two.

Overall, I’d say my progress has been good although it’s hard to tell if there’s been that much of a difference at this early stage. I will keep you posted by getting some pictures taken which can demonstrate the differences in my teeth (no matter how small).

Perfect Clear Braces So That Patients In Liverpool Can Smile In Confidence

Thursday, September 20th, 2012

For most people having to wear a brace on their teeth for several months can be quite daunting. Traditionally, they were forced to wear something that was either uncomfortable or garish to look at or both.

However in recent years, technological research has developed a range of new braces which are not only much more comfortable to wear but are also aesthetically pleasing.

But even so, for many people it would be even better to have something that is invisible or at least almost invisible to look at. And that’s where Invisalign braces come into their own. They could even be called the perfect brace.

Invisalign braces use a series of clear, removable teeth aligners whereas traditional braces tend to have fixed parts which over time can cause some discomfort as well as embarrassment for the wearer.

Invisalign braces on the other hand are effectively clear and can be removed when necessary.

Advantages of Clear Braces

The main advantage to wearing such braces is cosmetic. The aligners are completely transparent and therefore unobtrusive.

Also, since the aligners can be removed, food can be eaten without any of the parts getting in the way. Moreover it makes cleaning teeth and gums much easier.

While not proved, it is also said that the actual process of fitting clear braces is a lot quicker than fitting traditional fixed metal braces. Further they are said to work faster at straightening the teeth.

Disadvantages of Clear Braces

While clear braces have advantages for the fashion conscious individual they are not perfect in every way. There are some disadvantages to wearing them. For example, fitting them does depend on the cooperation of the patient. Further, ensuring they remain in place when needed is out of control of the dentist.

Similarly, since they are removable they can perhaps be lost. What’s more, they are more expensive than traditional methods, so losing them can be costly in more ways than one.

Patients’ habits can also affect the wear of the device. For instance, if the individual grinds his or her teeth this can easily damage the aligners.

Finally, the aligners are known to cause minor allergic reactions in some patients, such as a sore throat, a cough or in more severe cases, nausea.

Clear Braces For a Discreet Natural Look In Liverpool

Thursday, August 2nd, 2012

Straight teeth are desirable, we all know that. However wearing metal braces is not so desirable. Thankfully there is an alternative that provides the same results as the traditional metal brace but is virtually undetectable to onlookers. Perfect Clear is a form of invisible aligners which can be used to correct the same problems as traditional braces without the embarrassment.

How do Perfect Clear aligners work?

Perfect Clear K positioners are made from clear plastic and are completely removable, so even when you have them on, no-one will know that you are wearing them. There will be a series of aligners used during the treatment to enable the movement of the teeth from the starting point to the desired finishing point. Each new set of aligners will slowly move the teeth into a new position until the final position has been achieved. Treatment time varies, but in general for both upper and lower teeth to be realigned, the treatment time would be around 18 months.

Are there any benefits?

Because the Perfect Clear K positioners are removable it means that they can be removed for special occasions or events. It also means that while eating and drinking you can have them removed. This makes maintaining good oral hygiene much easier. Also the aligners are easily cleanable as well.

As with any new device that is fitted orally, the aligners may have a temporary effect on speech. However this usually works itself out within a week or so, once the mouth has had time to adjust. Because they are carefully designed there will be no soreness or rubbing, however gentle pressure would be felt on the teeth as they are moved by each set of aligners.

If you would like more information about Perfect Clear K please contact us at Liverpool Implants & Aesthetic Dental Spa in Liverpool.
