About white fillings

Filling procedure
It is very common to need a filling and the filling procedure is nothing to worry about. In most cases, treatment is complete within an hour and we use local anaesthetic to numb the affected tooth before we treat it.
Before a filling is placed, the tooth is prepared. This involves removing the decayed tissue from the cavity and then cleaning the hole. The cavity is lined with resin, which enables the composite to bond. The composite material is poured into the cavity and then your dentist will set it by shining a bright light on the composite. This does not take long and it is no painful. Once the composite has hardened, it is trimmed to fit and the procedure is then complete.
