Veneers are very thin sheets of tooth-shaped ceramic, which are applied over the top of your natural teeth to produce a perfect smile. They are often likened to false nails because they sit over the top of the teeth in a similar way to a false nail on top of a natural nail.

The aim of veneers is to create your perfect smile; you will be invited to get involved in the design of your new smile and to choose shades and shapes to match your ideas and expectations.
The procedure
After your initial consultation when we will discuss the kind of veneers and the shades and shapes you would like, we will start the treatment process. Before the veneers can be applied to the teeth, we prepare the teeth to make space for the new veneers; this requires very minor etching, which will be done under local anaesthetic to prevent any discomfort. One the teeth have been prepared, we will use dental putty to create impressions of your teeth and these will be used as templates for your veneers. Once your veneers are ready, we will then fit them onto your teeth and secure them in place using dental adhesive; you will then be ready to flash your gorgeous new smile.
